Porsgrunn Office Moves to Reduce CO2 Footprint

If your technology is working to create a better world, you must be willing to personally accept greater responsibility for that world.

Here at CEMIT, where our technology is based in providing more efficient, reliable, and sustainable transportation, it means aligning our own daily business operations with environmentally friendly actions.

To lessen our environmental footprint, we are moving our Porsgrunn office over to the centrally located Floodegården building. With restoration work in full swing, the goal is to continue to develop CEMIT technology in a space that is as eco-friendly as possible.

The building itself is the marker of exceptional restoration work, surpassing most of what has been done in the local area. Using BREEAM certification, the building will receive a rating for its environmental performance based on energy usage, indoor climate quality, proximity to public transport, and choice of building materials.

The space will be shared with Innovation Norway, another competent and environment-oriented player. And their Regional Director, Anniken Faegri Damm-Larsen, is just as excited about the work being done, adding that the location enables the region to work towards newer, greener heights.

Climate resilience is a crucial consideration within the built environment, and we are proud to be doing what we can to contribute to a lower-emission society. 🌱

BREEAM Official is the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for masterplanning projects, infrastructure and buildings. It recognizes and reflects the value in higher performing assets across the built environment lifecycle, from new construction to in-use and refurbishment.
